| Wagons on the move. 8---2006 Its been an interesting couple of months since returning from the States.
In between a residency at the Retreat and a few other bits and pieces it has been a calm, introspective period in which Wagons are still writing for a new album, expected to be out next year.
Stay tuned for some interesting shows...another residency at the Marquis of Lorne in October, an appearance at the Melbourne Show and a special performance at the Speigeltent at the end of the year.
Stay tuned for a Melbourne to Sydney, plus regional centres, tour with Matt Walker and Ashley Davies in December.
Keep watching the gigs page for further details.
Also, for those interested in the new technology and in the not so new fads, Wagons are starting a myspace page. Go to www.myspace.com/wagonsmusic to see the glorious page under construction. |
| Wagons back from the US. 5---2006 Henry Wagons has only just returned after a successful foray into American culture. After bold musical trimuphs in Pomona College in LA and treading the pavement in Las Vegas and New York City, Henry is back to share his experiences of the depravity of Western Culture.
The month of June sees the Wagons comeback show at Manchester Lane on the 22nd of June as well as a few low key solo shows. Check gig section for the bleak details. All shows will see the debut of new Wagons material.
June 5th also sees Henry Wagons TV presenter debut with his own segment on ABC2's DigTV in which Henry boldly enters the sanctity of people's homes and barates them about their record collection. Stay tuned for later episodes of DigTV in which Henry films segments with a Hip-Hop MC in NYC and a Latino rocker in LA. Go to http://abc.net.au/dig/tv for more datils regarding the show. |
| Come to CERES in Brunswick this Friday the 24th of Feb for sunset Wagons 2---2006 What do like to do while the sun sets?

Do not do it at home. Come to CERES Environment park and sit on the nice grass and watch as Wagons play for you.
You will be able to clearly see othe boys' hair blow in the wind and hear the wind whip away the sound into the night.
An evening of pure outdoor pleasure.
An evening with outdoor Wagons |
| Happy New Year from Wagons 1---2006 Wagons hopes you are having a good new year. Maybe it will be the best year you will ever have. Its too early to tell for most people, but some people are very stubborn and judgmental and have probably already decided. Good for you.
This year will be fun for Wagons. Firstly, expect a new album in the latter half of the year. The band is currently just beginning to practice up a bunch of new songs. You can hear them trickle into the live set in the coming months.
Wagons are playing a lot in February and March. Consult the 'Gigs' section for more info. There is a residency at the Marquis of Lorne each Sunday as well as extra gigs with Steven Cummings and at the Port Fairy Festival and more. A highlight will be a headlining outdoor show on the 24th of Feb at CERES in Brunswick.
Come the 25th of March, Henry and Si will both be off overseas for a couple of months. So, get dosed up on the band now while you can.

| December and feeling the doom of Christmas 1---2005 As Wagons finish up their two month residency at the Earl of Lincoln a change in in the breeze. For the next couple of month Wagons will not be playing a regular gig. Its just like an old, talentless, middle-aged accountant losing his job. What is going to happen?
Wagons have a few exciting gigs coming up in December. Keep checking the gigs section for details on upcoming shows with the Black Eyed Susans and a nice show at the Retreat Hotel.
With the return of Steve 'Harmony' Hassett early in the month Wagons will go into full lockdown mode to get some new songs together for the new record. Watch the new material creep into the sets in the coming months.
Further ahead ---> another residency at the Marquis of Lorne, Port Fairy Music Festival, outdoor show at CERES and potential European Tour and new CD out mid next year. Stay tuned. |
| Residency at Earl of Lincoln in Richmond this October 9---2005 Henry Wagons and friends will be playing a low-key residency at the new venue The Earl of Lincoln in Richmond on Sundays throughout October.
With a couple of band memebrs away, some close Wagons friends will be joining the band to fill out the sound with some alien energy. Feel the inter-planetary tension every Sunday from 4 till 6....free entry. |
| Creeping back from the depths - Clip on Rage 9---2005 Stay tuned for the new Wagons video clip for the song 'This is What Death Looks Like'. It is currently doing the late-night rounds on Rage at the moment. Next time you are drunk and half-asleep at 3am, tune in to Rage and play Where's Wagons...
On the live front, Wagons are keeping quiet at the moment, but nevertheless things are still bubbling away under the surface. While two band members are still away roaming the world, the rest of the band are playing a couple of shows in the coming weeks (under the name Henry Wagons and friends).
Wagons are also excited to be preparing for a couple of festival shows over the Summer months. Keep checking the gig guide for more info. |
| Interesting Time for Wagons 7---2005 Its a time of rest and contemplation for Wagons. They are all sitting in front of patterned wallpaper and making strange shapes by relaxing thier eyes.
Beloved Steve 'Harmony' Hassett is currently OS until Christmas so Wagons are winding down operations slightly.
Nevertheless Wagons will still be around! We are excited to say they have a new member...Matty 'Music' Hassett...Steve's older brother. He will add keys to the Wagons equasion, also singing sweet harmonies while Steve is away.
Stay tuned for a few Henry Wagons solo shows as well as the occasional Wagons band gig over the coming months. That way you will still be able to get that unique Wagons taste of oak mixed with chocolate and rusty nails that you have come to love. |

Come and get your final dose now, while you have a tan, before the Summer grinds to a hault. |
| Big December for Wagons 2---2004 December keeps normal people busy. Wagons are not normal people and have a suitably abnormal schedule. Stay tuned for many Wagons shows, of all sorts, in this holiday season.

| The Rob Roy will be no more!!! 0---2004 Our scheduled gig at the Rob Roy, celebrating Cup Eve, is no longer. It looks as though the Rob will be joining many other live music venues around our land in that it will soon be lying half-dead in a shallow grave.
To replace all of the cancelled shows the Rob will be putting on one final day on music. An entertainment overdose. A whole day of music on Sunday the 31st of October.... On Cup-Eve-Eve!!
Wagons will be headlining that event!!! Wagons will be the last band to play on that fine backroom stage.
It will be a momentous occasion.
Come for a laugh and leave with an acid tear burning your cheek. |
